A development application for a large Service Centre has been approved at 1942-2056 Warrego Highway, Haigslea, which will be constructed over eight (8) stages. The proposal includes a café, fast food restaurants, service station, shop, manual car and truck wash, motel, truck depot and care takers residence.

Designed by Atelier Group Architects, the approved development includes a variety of land uses associated with the Service Centre across seven (7) buildings and four (4) structures with a maximum building height of 2 storeys.

The planners at RPS Group state, “The proposed development is to be constructed over eight stages, to provide for a range of highway activities to service this stretch of the Warrego Highway. The proposed development is appropriate and consistent with the Special Use zoning under the Ipswich Planning Scheme”.

The approved site within the 10.246ha development site, of the 39.37ha overall subject site area.
