Cycle Lanes – Victoria Bridge, Brisbane CBD
Brisbane City Council has released a redesign of the Victoria Bridge, with cyclists now to benefit with dedicated off road cycle lanes and three lanes for bus and metro transportation.
The new greener revision will provide for further transport modes and clearer pathway marking, with the cycle lanes painted a distinctive green colour found around Brisbane.
A public a fly through has been released to show how the Brisbane Metro, pedestrians and cycleway will function and be integrated into the bridge.
Project Details
– Three Metro/Bus Lines
– 2 Pedestrian pathways
– 2 cycle lanes (one in each directions)
– Green Victoria Bridge (Cars removed)
Timeframe
– Work scheduled to start in 2019
– Construction is expected to be completed end 2022
