Tourist Attraction Expansion – Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, Fig Tree Pocket

The planners at Town Planning Alliance state, “The proposed development does not detract from the current heritage place, and will ensure the continuation of the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary into the future”.
“Further, the proposed new exhibit is located a significant distance from the heritage listed area of the site and ensure the design and siting of the exhibit does not conflict with the cultural heritage values of the site”.
“The proposal will be of an appropriate bulk and scale, consistent with the residential uses to the south of the subject site and will continue to be visually unobtrusive to adjoining residential land and properties adjacent the Brisbane River“.
The proposal includes 2,180.9sqm (1.1%) of site cover over the 198,272sqm site.
