The Parks Precinct revealed – Yarrabilba, Logan

Lendlease has announced its new $11 billion Yarrabilba master planned community and launched the first precinct named the ‘The Parks’ which will provide new allotments, school, sports fields and parkland. As the population of Yarrabilba tops 10,000 residents, it has cemented its place as one of Queensland’s most popular master planned communities. Yarrabilba resident and new first home buyer Megan Gough said: “My husband (Mitchell) and I were previously renting in Yarrabilba for two years and just fell in love with the community and what it offered our two young children. It’s an amazing community of people and everything is on your doorstep”. “We had an amazing building experience and despite Covid, the whole process was easy and enjoyable”, Mrs Gough said. Michelle Wooldridge, Lendlease development director for Yarrabilba stated, “This new precinct will set the scene for a massive expansion over the next 20 years and help to deliver on our vision to create Queensland’s best master planned community”. “The Parks will help to meet significant pent-up demand for new homes in the Logan region, spurred by record low interest rates, rising house prices and increasing interstate migration”. We are already receiving a constant stream of inquiry about the new land release, including a high proportion of current Yarrabilba homeowners and renters looking to upgrade, and buyers moving from Sydney and  Melbourne”.
The Parks
The new precinct redevelopment will house approximately 2000 new dwellings, in proximity to parklands, green space and existing environmental corridor. The Queensland State Government is currently investing in a new state primary school in the area (opening in 2023) and the future Yarrabilba Town Centre is expected to be constructed to support the new community. The first land release stage will provide a range of sizes, from 330sqm to 652sqm.
