Telecommunication Facility – 8 Billabong Street Stafford
A development application has been lodged for a Telecommunication Facility development located at 8 Billabong Street Stafford.
A product of Vodafone, the existing Telecommunication Facility is proposed to be replaced and stand at a height of 30 metres.
The design includes a mono pole facility structure, triangular headframe, allowing installation of the following:
– Six (6) panel antennas (maximum length of 2.6m)
– Thirty Six (36) Remote Radio Units (RRUs)
– 3G and 4G Optus networks coverage
All electronic equipment will be housed in the existing equipment base shelter (3.0m x 2.5m) within a fenced compound. Access will be retained from Billabong Street.
According to the planners at CPS Global, “the proposed telecommunications facility is of appropriate distance and setback from environmentally sensitive areas. The visual presence of the proposed facility will be further mitigated by the setback distance of the proposed facility from the main road frontage and its design. The proposal will appear as an accepted part of the landscape as it will blend effectively with the surrounds.”
