A change to a development application approval has been lodged for the Bli Bli Tavern, located at 308 and 310 David Low Way, Bli Bli, Sunshine Coast.

Designed by Sprout Architecture, the proposal seeks to redesign the layout of the tavern, motel and retail aspects of the approved development. The layout proposal will reduce the size of the Bli Bli Tavern, reduce the number of Short Term Accommodation to eight (8) units and retail tenancies on level 2 (car park).

The site is within the Local Centre adjoining the Bli Bli Village Centre and has road frontage to David Low Way and Bli Bli Road.

The planners at Project Urban state, “Building setbacks, site cover, building height and massing remain generally as approved. The external design of the building has changed to provide a more modern and contemporary form which still integrates with the existing buildings on the site and addresses the street frontages, particularly the intersection corner”.

The proposal seeks an additional 102sqm of gross floor area (GFA) to the subject site as part of the change application.
