A development application has been approved for a Fast Food Restaurant with drive through, located at 26-36 Wembley Road, Logan Central.

Designed by WBP Architecture, the approval is for a Taco Bell that will redevelop a portion of the existing car park in proximity to an existing retail warehouse/showroom. The new freestanding Fast Food Restaurant with drive through is located in the north west portion of the site, fronting Wembley Road.

The existing warehouse/showroom will be retained on the eastern portion of the site and the car parking layout will realigned to accommodate the proposal with pedestrian linkage.

The planners at B Planned state that, The proposed development will involve retaining the existing parking area at the front of the proposed food and drink outlet. The front boundary of the site has been provided with significant amounts of landscaping which will be retained, and new landscaping will be provided within the front boundary area to ensure that the visual dominance of the building and parking area will be reduce to the full extent possible”.

“The building will also be constructed with high quality building materials which will ensure the building presents an attractive and interesting built form. Furthermore, a new pedestrian entrance will be provided to ensure that pedestrian access into the site is not disrupted by traffic movements associated with the proposed development”.

The proposal adds 258sqm of gross floor area to the 19,950sqm development site.
