A development application has been lodged for Multiple Dwellings, located at 570 and 576 Coronation Drive, Toowong.

Designed by Bureau Proberts the proposal seeks twenty nine (29)  residential units of a medium density nature within a 10 storey residential building. The existing three (3) storey multiple dwellings and existing dwelling will be removed to facilitate the redevelopment of the site.

The planners at Urban Strategies state “The building is proportionate to and commensurate with the utility of the site area and frontage width. The site has a long frontage which can comfortably accommodate the site access and other services without dominating the street. The tower plate and site cover has responded to the challenging triangular shape of the site with an appropriate balance of built form and open space, including through
the provision of dedicated deep planting areas at the river frontage. The building bulk and length is reduced through smooth and fluid transitions at the Coronation Drive frontage, and articulation of joints at the river frontage”.


The proposal provides 68 car park spaces and 36 bicycle spaces within the basement and provides vehicle access to Coronation Drive.

The approval includes 6,192sqm of gross florr area (GFA), with 854.99sqm (55.7%) site cover over the 1,535s1qm development site.
