The planners at Town Planning Alliance state “The built form achieves a balanced proportion of buildings to open space, and landscaping on a site is
consistent with the form, character and intensity of the local area and immediate streetscape. Furthermore, the development positively contributes to the streetscape with high quality architectural excellence,
subtropical landscaping and improved street amenity to Moggill Road and Stanley Terrace. As such, the proposed development is identified as consistent with and contributing to the neighbourhood character of Taringa.”
“The proposed design includes generous building separation and adequate building setbacks incorporating articulation of the built form to ensure amenity of residents and neighbours. The built form incorporates
architectural design elements to articulate all facades and celebrate the character of Taringa. The large setback and void located along the Stanley Terrace façade creates a substantial break in the built form and
articulates the building in additional to other projections, recessions and balconies designed along all facades of the development”.
The proposal provides 110 car park spaces, 2 Motor Cycle and 59 bicycle spaces within the basement and provides vehicle access to Lever Street.
The approval includes 1,660sqm (59.5%) site cover over the 2,666.4qm development site.
