A development application has been lodged for Aria Property Group for a high density residential tower and balance site, located at 164-190 Melbourne Street and 23-27A Manning Street, South Brisbane.

Demolition Plan

The site is made up of 10 consolidated allotments, which include property formally owned by Brisbane celebrity hairdresser owner Stefan and provides sufficient area to seek 3 new residential towers over several stages. The proposed tower is situated over the western portion of the site on top of the five basement levels of car parking.

Designed by Richards & Spence and Bates Smart, the proposal seeks eighty four (84) Multiple Dwellings in a single residential tower that has a maximum building height of 17 storeys (RL 72m high). The site is within the Principal Centre Zone and South Brisbane Riverside Neighbourhood Plan.

The design seeks to incorporate the 2x local heritage places on Melbourne Street, however will demolish the existing warehouses and post-1946 house, along with all hard surface areas to facilitate the proposed redevelopment.
