A development application has been lodged for Childcare Centre, located at Providence, South Ripley.

Designed by Context Architects, the proposal seeks a Childcare Centre with a maximum building height of 3 storeys (11.1m high overall). The site is proposed to front two (2) road frontages that are yet to be constructed as part of the Providence Secondary Urban Centre East (SUCE) of Ripley Valley.

The proposed childcare centre includes an under croft ground floor car park, providing 51 car park spaces with internal access to reception. The site is proposed to have two (2) road frontages formed as part of the Providence Secondary Urban Centre East (SUCE) of Ripley Valley.





The planners at RPS Group state, The building will occupy the entire block width and be separated from other buildings by public spaces. Nonetheless the development has been designed with consideration towards the likely form of adjoining buildings on the site to provide a complementary built form”.

“In particular, the reducing height of the building, relative to the street level as it ascends the slope will result in a built form interface that is compatible with future two storey attached terrace dwellings to the south. In addition, the roof form with triangular skillion elements reflects the peaks typically found on residential dwellings”.




The proposal includes 1,800sqm of gross floor area (GFA), with 100% site cover of the 2,595 sqm site.
