A development application has been lodged for Churches of Christ for an Extension to a Place of Worship and Community Use, located 105-107 Station Road and 37 Fairbank Street, Sunnybank.
Designed by Ross Hohl Architects, the proposal is for an extended church hall, with a maximum building height of 2 storeys (approximately 9.14m high). The site is within a low density residential and will remove the existing church hall to facilitate the proposal.

The proposed church hall has been designed with a ground level under-croft car park, providing 23 car park spaces (two (2) PWD space). Vehicle and pedestrian access is proposed to be retained to Station Road.
The planners at John Gaskell Planning state, “the proposed development meets the intent of the Low density residential zone code as the proposal is for a non-residential uses which serves a local community facility only. The proposed development is of a bulk and scale that is compatible with and integrates with the built form intent for the Low density residential zone.”
The proposal includes an additional 1,149.7sqm of GFA (totalling 1,621.4sqm) on the 2,822sqm site.
