The planners at Bartley Burns state, “The proposed building will employ an attractive, modern design which will be distinctive, yet complementary within the immediate area. The exterior of the building, for instance, will incorporate a variety of different colours, materials and finishes which will not only create a visually appealing outcome, but help to break up the building’s overall bulk and scale. The street facing façades, in particular, will feature lightweight horizontal cladding, rendered blockwork, glazing and metal roof sheeting with the combination of these elements will to create visual interest and distinguish different sections of the building”.
The proposal includes 753.56sqm of gross floor area (GFA), with 742sqm (41.33%) site cover over the 1,793sqm site.
