The development application has been lodged for Multiple Dwellings, located at 10 & 12 Dethridge Street, Northgate.
Designed by AGArchitects, the proposal seeks to provide nine (9) x 3 Bedroom Low – Medium Density units across 2 buildings (four (4) units at the front of the site and five (5) units at the rear of the site), with a maximum building height of 2 storeys (under 8.4m). Both the existing two storey houses are to be removed to facilitate the proposed development.
The proposal provides 15 car park spaces, with 13 garaged spaces and 2 visitor spaces locate to the front of the site. All dwellings are provided with private open space (ranging from 35 – 59sqm) in the form of balconies, courtyards and areas of landscaping / deep planting provided throughout the site (10%). 1,336.9sqm is the proposed total GFA, with 908sqm (59.9%) site cover of the rectangular shaped 1,516qm site area[espro-slider id=6010]
According to the planners at AAD Design, “The development is of a similar scale to surrounding development, which largely consists of low-medium density multiple dwellings. The proposed development will sit comfortably between both adjoining multiple dwellings. The proposed development will utilise a variety of different building materials including: horizontal weatherboard cladding, vertical axon cladding, timber look cladding, rendered concrete and metal roof sheeting.”
