The planners at Urbis state, “The proposed development accords with the intent of the Neighbourhood Plan, as the shopfront alterations and internal refurbishments will not prejudice the diversity of existing uses on the site. The proposed development is intended to support the tenancy change from vacant to Lorna Jane, within existing retail tenancies and shopfronts of the Q&A Shopping Precinct.”
The proposal retains a portion of the existing retail gross floor area on the 1,824sqm site area.
