A development application has been lodged for a local shopping centre development to provide a mix and intensity of centre activities (Food & drink outlet, Shop and Health care services), located at 1-15 Halcyon Way, Logan Reserve.

Designed by Thomson Adsett, the proposal seeks three single storey buildings over the site, a future development area fronting Logan Reserve Road and a new internal driveway through the site. The site is cleared of all structures and contains a separate child care centre (Building E) that will be facilitated into the overall site layout.

The proposal provides 121 car park spaces (121 spaces, 3 PWD and 2 service bay spaces) within the open ground floor car parking areas, with the shared vehicle and pedestrian access to Halcyon Way and no access to Logan Reserve Road.



The planners at Saunders Havill Group state, “As is clearly shown on the proposal plans, the south-east corner of the site is identified as a ‘future development area’. Whilst the development of this part of the site will be the subject of a separate Material Change of Use application, the proposed plans have been carefully considered so as not to prejudice the
development of the site. The intent is that the neighbourhood centre will accommodate a range of complementary activities and that they will be able to function in an integrated manner”.

The proposal includes 1,700sqm of gross floor area (GFA), with 1,704 (15%) of site cover over the 11,277sqm site.
