Kmart Opens – Westfield Shopping Centre, Carindale

Scentre Group has officially opened the new Kmart Store within the Carindale Westfield Shopping Centre.

Kmart Staff Ready for Opening

Scentre Group confirmed in 2019 that Kmart will occupy the second level of David Jones store, which would retain only the first floor of its original retail space after the renovation was completed.

Chris Renshaw, Kmart’s General Manager of Stores outlined was pleased to see the community support for the store.

“We’re so proud to see this store come to life and to officially welcome the community of Carindale through our doors”.

“We’ve been blown away by the support and feedback from the local community and we’ve been greeted with lots of warm smiles and excitement since opening last week”.

“We can’t wait to start making everyday living brighter in this wonderful community.”

Richard Heinz, Scentre Group regional manager centre experience Queensland outlined that the store is what the community has been asking for

“The feedback from our customers about the opening has been overwhelmingly positive, further demonstrating that we’re delivering a retail experience that truly reflects the interests and needs of the community”.
