Sydney iFLY Downunder Example
30 established car park spaces will be demolished to make way for the new building and mechanical yard. Pedestrian pathways and external pavement will be provided to link the frontage with the surrounding car park and recent upgrades of Westfield Shopping Centre.
Landscaping is proposed along the pedestrian frontage of the proposed development, as well as along the footpath on Gympie Road.
The facility uses technology to simulate the free fall experience using
specially constructed vertical wind tunnel that includes a flight chamber allowing individuals or groups to perform aerobatic manoeuvres and safely fly in a controlled environment.
The proposal is for an additional 549sqm of GFA to the overall shopping centre within the 227,141sqm site.
