Designed by OC Interiors, the proposal is for a Food and Drink Outlet in the form of a ‘container cafe’ with outdoor shaded seating area. The single storey cafe structure has a maximum height of 2.9m and increases the building gross floor area (GFA) by an additional 11.6sqm.

The development proposes a Food and Drink Outlet in the form of a container café. The development is proposed on the Gardner Close frontage and is separated from the primary boundary by a 1.2m landscaping strip. The café offers a shaded eating area for nearby workers to dine outside of the office.
The planners at Urban Strategies state “the container café is small in size and designed to fit seamlessly into the improved site landscaping. The proposed works are designed to improve the appearance and function of the site. They will also enhance the precinct and the general appeal of Gardner Close, which is a cul-de-sac off Coronation Drive. In addition to offering food and drinks at the café, the shaded seating area will encourage workers to step outside their offices during the working day and enjoy the sub-tropical climate”.
