A development application has been lodged for a Childcare Centre, located at 11 Daisy Hill Road, Daisy Hill.
Designed by Mayhill, the proposal seeks a single storey childcare centre over the site, with a maximum building height (8.3m high). The proposal seeks to protect the existing streetscape with a design consistent with the surrounding residential form. The proposal will demolish an existing dwelling house and structures to facilitate the redevelopment.
– 84 children
– GFA 999.5sqm
– 1 storey in height
– 1 large outdoor play area
– 1 large undercover play area
– 5 activity rooms
– Acoustic treatments
– 20 space open car park
The proposed child care centre includes 20 car parking spaces (one (1) PWD) within an open car park area. All vehicle and pedestrian access is provided to Daisy Hill Road.
The planners at Mayhill state, “the proposed design will contribute positively to the streetscape and local area, the separation to adjoining properties will maintain privacy and amenity, and the on-site layout meets the requirements for parking, manoeuvring, site cover, height, setbacks, landscaping and constraint amelioration”.
The proposal includes 999.5qm of gross floor area (GFA), with 1,150sqm (45%) of site cover over the 2,529sqm site.
