A development application has been lodged for a Child Care Centre, located 35 Brookfield Road, Kenmore.
Designed by Alto Architects, the proposal is for a Child Care Centre with a maximum building height of 2 storeys (approx. 9.5m in height). The proposal is within a Rural Zone and will remove the three (3) existing residential dwelling to facilitate the development.

The proposed child care centre has been designed with an open car park area, providing 23 car park spaces (4 staff spaces and 18 visitor spaces, including one (1) PWD space). Pedestrian and Vehicle propose access to Brookfield Road.
The planners at HC9 state, “the subject site is included within the rural zone which forms part of Brisbane’s Greenspace System. The proposal seeks to develop the front part of the site only with the balance area being maintained in its natural state. The proposed child care centre footprint does not encroach the mapped biodiversity area located in the rear part of the site and therefore ensures that the environmental values of the site are protected”.
The proposal includes 999.6sqm of GFA, with 889sqm (8.6%) a site cover over the 10,286sqm site.
