I’m a northgate resident and enjoy the vibe that Nundah is currently projecting- although I’m originally from the UK, I feel very proud of the Nundah Village and its reputation. The bars, cafes and restaurants are all great and there really is a community feel that I think is hard to get in this huge country. It’s the character and individualism that is at its heart and I strongly believe a development such as this would be if detriment to the village. From a practical perspective I would think that it would be better to have larger developments nearby/on the outskirts of the village, reducing cars and bikes in the main streets. Those developments could then create their own ‘hub’ rather than encroaching on existing and already successful ones. I’m not saying I’d want a block of units next to my house but there is still land in the area that could be put to very good use in this way. This would benefit all rather than one being at expense of another.
