$9.77 Million Bus Station – Victoria Point, Redlands
The State Government has completed its brand new central bus station located on Cleveland-Redland Bay Road, between Bunker Road and Colburn Avenue intersections in Victoria Point.
The new station has been re-positioned from the existing the old station on Bunker Road.
The Translink $9.77 million project has been operating since just before Christmas 2019 and constructed in conjunction the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
The new station is a split-station design, which features platforms on either side of Cleveland-Redland Bay Road, between the intersection of Bunker Road and Colburn Avenue.
The new station is fully accessible and features improved safety, lighting and amenities for customers.
Project Details
– An upgraded station with capacity for six buses (an increase on the current four)
– x2 sheltered bus platforms and waiting area with improved accessibility
– Go card top-up facilities
– Bicycle storage facilities
– Bus driver facilities
– Improved lighting
– Security cameras with 24-hour video recording.
The new location of the Victoria Point bus station provides access roads to Victoria Point Shopping Centre and TownCentre Victoria Point in a more easily accessible location. The aim of the new location to is improve customer travel, accessibility and services with up to six buses able service the station.
