Auchenflower Train Station Accessibility Upgrade
An upgrade of Auchenflower train station has been officially announced by Queensland Rail, as part of the Station Upgrade Program (SUP) that is focused on providing improvements to train stations to allow all customers to travel safely and easily. Auchenflower residents and commuters were also invited to review plans at Auchenflower station to promote the plans.
Mr Bailey stated, “Auchenflower is an important station for the local community, with key connections to the Wesley Hospital and local sporting facilities. Last year, Auchenflower accommodated more than 870,000 passenger trips, however the station is not currently independently accessible for everyone in the community.” “The project will also provide accessible parking and improved security features, such as upgraded lighting and CCTV, and we are now seeking the community’s feedback to help inform the station’s final design.”
