A development application for a preliminary approval has been lodged for Multiple Dwellings in the north-east of the site, located at 60 Bridge Street, Wooloowin.

Designed by Rothelowman, the proposal seeks one hundred and fifty one (151) Multiple Dwellings of a medium density within two (2) residential towers, within the Mixed Use (Apartment Buildings) Precinct of the Preliminary Approval over the site.

The proposal includes two (2) residential towers to accommodate the 151 apartments and will seek a maximum building height of 8 storeys each. Each dwelling will be provided with private open space in the form of balconies and communal open space between the proposed buildings.

The planners at RPS Group state, the proposed building envelopes are consistent with the approved master plan, the conditions of the existing (section 242) preliminary approval, and relevant parameters of Brisbane City Plan 2014″ “the proposed minimum rates for car parking provision are appropriate to the characteristics of the location and the nature of development proposed based on detailed traffic engineering assessment of local car ownership statistical information and modelling of forecast car parking demand.”.

The proposal is over the 4,940sqm site (Stage 4), within the 3.688ha subject site.
