A development application has been lodged for Retail and Car Parking, located at 425 and 433 Logan Road, Greenslopes.

Designed by KP Architects, the proposal is for two (2) retail buildings integrated within the existing buildings to accommodate Food and Drink Outlet, Office, Shop and Bar tenancies. An additional car park level to an existing multi-level car park and the rearrangement of existing ground level car parking areas are also proposed. The development will occur of three stages.

Stages
Stage A – Multi-level car parking
Stage B – 425 Logan Road for retail tenancies
Stage C – Internal Logan Road for retail tenancies

The proposed development provides an additional 45 car parking spaces, totalling 204 vehicle spaces, (195 car parking spaces, four (4) van delivery spaces, one (1) loading space, four (4) motorcycle spaces). Vehicular access is retained to Cleveland Street, via the internal manoeuvring area.
The planners at Cardno state, “the new retail spaces are proposed to have a 3m floor-to ceiling height. The floor-to-ceiling height will not affect the retail spaces contribution to an active frontage along Logan Road. The spaces will include active uses and will have a strong visual and physical connection to the street that will encourage pedestrian activity, interaction and movement maintains the character and amenity of the precinct, while activating the site frontage”.

The proposal includes 450sqm of GFA to the existing commercial area on the 7,192sqm site.
