Restaurant – 244-248 Anzac Avenue, Kippa-Ring


A development application has been approved for a new Restaurant, located at 244-248 Anzac Avenue Kippa-Ring.

Designed by JNC Architecture, the approval is for a buffet style Restaurant (Food and Drink Outlet) within an existing commercial building, located at Kippa-Ring. The internal fit out of a vacant office tenancy will provide restaurant facilitates to cater for up to 300 patrons at full capacity.

The existing office space fronting Anzac Avenue will be refurbished and accommodate new dining areas, kitchen, amenities, reception and bar. The proposed floor plan is separated into zoned dining areas and cater for different sized groups of customers.

Hours of operation
– 5pm-9pm (Monday to Friday)
– 11:30am-2pm and 5pm to 9:30pm (Saturdays and Sundays)
The restaurant will operate 7 days a week.

The proposal seeks to retain and use the existing car parking arrangements, including separate service loading bay are accommodated. Vehicle access is provided via the retained entrance/exit location to High Street and Anzac Avenue.

The planners at Wolter Consulting Group state, “the proposal provides suitable re-use of redundant office space to provide a restaurant that supports the local precinct, as well as provides for a land use that is consistent with the intended evolution of this area as per the Redcliffe activity centre strategy, which is yet to be integrated into the Planning Scheme.

The proposal retains 1,361sqm of gross floor area on the 5,310sqm site
