The planners at Urban Strategies state, “the proposal is considered to be consistent with the zoning pattern of the area. The proposed Child Care Centre will provide long day care services to the locality and will serve a significant local need. In addition, the alterations to the retirement village will provide for additional amenity to an existing residential use. The proposal has been carefully designed to be of a form, bulk and scale which complements the character of the locality and sensitively interfaces with adjoining residential uses”.
The proposal includes 868sqm of GFA and 1,091.18sqm (39.6%) over the 28,290sqm site area (Lot 200).
